PowerStation
Workshop
Course
Topics
The purpose of this workshop is to develop a thorough understanding of
power system analysis and design as well as the overall capabilities of
PowerStation 3.0. This problem-solving workshop has been designed to provide the analytical techniques necessary to solve a wide variety of practical problems.
You will use PowerStation as a tool to solve problems that challenge electrical engineers on a daily basis. You will learn
how to create projects with various configurations,
presentations, revisions, and operating conditions to perform 'what if' studies. Some of the topics include:
 |
Load Flow |
 |
Optimal Power Flow |
 |
Short-Circuit |
 |
Motor Starting |
 |
Transient Stability |
 |
Harmonic Analysis |
 |
Underground Raceway |
 |
DC Load flow |
 |

PowerStation:
An Introduction

PowerStation is a fully graphical 32-bit software that can run under the Microsoft, Windows NT, and 95/98, environments. PowerStation is used by Electrical Engineers worldwide in the design and analysis of electric power systems. Modules include short-circuit, load flow, motor starting, transient stability, harmonic analysis, DC load flow, DC short-circuit, battery sizing, optimal power flow, generator start-up, relay coordination, and underground cable raceways.
ETAP PowerStation is a culmination of thousands of hours in design and development spent to identity and create the most useful features for an Engineering design and analysis tool. Designed by electrical engineers for electrical engineers, PowerStation includes many advanced and unique features such as ODBC, composite network nesting, and
multi-dimensional database.
The software is backed by an established quality assurance program.
Operation Technology, Inc. is an ISO 9001 certified company. In addition, our QA program complies with U.S. Title 10 CFR 50, Appendix B and other software standards such as IEEE 730.1 (1989) and ASME NAQ-1.
The ETAP PowerStation Workshop topics encompass complete system
analysis and conceptual design. By applying the hands-on experience you receive using PowerStation to find engineering solutions to real-world scenarios,
you will find yourself more productive the very day you return to work. |
